Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Survey CAD Manager to define and maintain CAD standards across projects.

You will coordinate with Project Managers and CAD staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDOT and client requirements while handling field survey data. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in AutoCAD, 5+ years in land surveying, and prior management of a CAD team, with strong software skills in Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent (preferred).
• 8+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• 5+ years managing junior CAD staff.
• Experience with GDOT deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain CAD standards for the company.
• Coordinate CAD needs with Project Managers and CAD staff.
• Train CAD Technicians and enforce standards.
• Manage CAD licenses and updates; oversee CAD training.
• QA/QC of CAD work performed by staff.
• Process daily field survey data to develop finished survey drawings.
• Develop 3D digital terrain models using Civil 3D/OpenRoads/InRoads and similar software.
• Ensure drawings comply with government agency standards (e.g., GDOT).
• Assist in the field to verify drawings reflect field conditions as needed.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients.

Job Summary

The Senior Survey CAD Manager position will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining CAD standards for the company. Coordinate CAD needs with Project Managers / CAD Staff. The candidate must be detail oriented, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure that CAD Technicians are trained and follow established CAD standards
• Manage CAD software licenses and updates as well as CAD training
• Manage general QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD Staff
• Processing of daily field survey data using Civil 3D/Carlson and/or MicroStation to develop finished survey drawings
• Development of 3D digital terrain models, based on field data, to be used for engineering design, utilizing InRoads/OpenRoads and similar software.
• Become familiar with CAD standards of various government agencies (i.e. GDOT) to make sure finished survey drawings are in compliance with standards.
• Occasional assistance in the field to confirm finished drawings are representative of field conditions and to further skills toward becoming a registered land surveyor.
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.

Education/Experience

• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting (Preferred) or Comparable 4 Year Degree
• 8+ years of experience in AutoCAD
• 5+ years of experience in land surveying
• 5+ years of managing Junior CAD Technician
• Experience with GDOT deliverables
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Knowledge of business office procedures
