Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Survey CAD Manager to define, implement, and maintain CAD standards across projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate CAD needs with Project Managers and CAD staff while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDOT and other agency requirements. The role requires 8+ years of AutoCAD experience, 5+ years in land surveying, and 5+ years managing CAD technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting preferred or a comparable 4-year degree.
• 8+ years of experience in AutoCAD.
• 5+ years of land surveying.
• 5+ years of managing junior CAD technicians.
• Experience with GDOT deliverables.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CAD Technicians are trained and follow established CAD standards.
• Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and training.
• QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD staff.
• Process daily field survey data using Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation to develop finished drawings.
• Develop 3D digital terrain models using InRoads/OpenRoads for engineering design.
• Familiarize with CAD standards of government agencies (e.g., GDOT) for compliance.
• Occasional field work to verify drawings reflect field conditions and support licensure goals.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.

Job Summary

The Senior Survey CAD Manager position will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining CAD standards for the company. Coordinate CAD needs with Project Managers / CAD Staff. The candidate must be detail oriented, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure that CAD Technicians are trained and follow established CAD standards
• Manage CAD software licenses and updates as well as CAD training
• Manage general QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD Staff
• Processing of daily field survey data using Civil 3D/Carlson and/or MicroStation to develop finished survey drawings
• Development of 3D digital terrain models, based on field data, to be used for engineering design, utilizing InRoads/OpenRoads and similar software.
• Become familiar with CAD standards of various government agencies (i.e. GDOT) to make sure finished survey drawings are in compliance with standards.
• Occasional assistance in the field to confirm finished drawings are representative of field conditions and to further skills toward becoming a registered land surveyor.
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.

Education/Experience

• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting (Preferred) or Comparable 4 Year Degree
• 8+ years of experience in AutoCAD
• 5+ years of land surveying
• 5+ years of managing Junior CAD Technicians
• Experience with GDOT deliverables
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Knowledge of business office procedures
