Job summary

Bechtel Houston is seeking a Quality Surveillance Lead to implement the project QMS, determine quality requirements, and monitor regulatory changes on a major construction project in Houston, TX.

You will guide surveillance teams, prepare schedules and reports, review nonconformances, and drive corrective actions. The role requires strong ISO 9001 knowledge, EPC experience, and coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and startup on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standard requirements and QA program implementation.
• Experience leading surveillances throughout the full life cycle of a project.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises quality surveillance per QMS and PQP.
• Establishes and leads surveillance teams.
• Prepares annual project Surveillance schedule.
• Reviews nonconforming conditions and corrective actions to ensure QA program effectiveness.
• Supports cause analysis and corrective action plans for complex issues.
• Reviews and reports on project design documents, procedures, and requirements for compliance.
• Interfacing with supervisors and customer quality representatives.
