Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Senior Surveillance Analyst to perform daily and pattern-based analyses of trading activity, ensuring compliance with Cboe and SEC rules. The role emphasizes collaboration across Regulatory Tech and Investigations teams and mentoring junior staff.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/business/CS and 3+ years in the securities industry, with strong writing, analytical, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or computer science.
• 3+ years of experience in the securities and trading industry, derivatives experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of management and staff.
• Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, and research skills with strong attention to detail.
• Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review daily and pattern-based surveillance alerts accurately and timely.
• Build and maintain understanding of regulatory environment, rules, technologies, and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining internal policies for the Surveillance Program.
• Stay informed on industry concepts to develop new surveillance methods.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Tech and Investigations teams to enhance the program.
• Respond to inquiries from the SEC and other regulators.
• Conduct end-user validation of work products as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and lead team projects and discussions.
• Participate in trainings and meetings.
• Perform other related duties as required.
