Job summary

Cboe Global Markets in Chicago is seeking a Senior Surveillance Analyst to analyze daily and pattern-based trading activity to detect possible violations of Cboe and SEC rules. You will collaborate with Regulatory Technology and Investigations teams and mentor junior staff.

Role requires a bachelor's in finance/economics/business/CS, 3+ years in securities trading, strong analytical and Excel skills, and in-office attendance four days a week at 433 W Van Buren St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or computer science.
• 3+ years of experience in the securities and trading industry; derivatives experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with all levels of management and staff.
• Exceptional written, verbal, analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review daily and pattern-based surveillance alerts accurately and timely.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory environment, rules, technologies and investigative techniques.
• Assist in updating internal policies for the Surveillance Program.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Technology and Investigations teams to enhance the program.
• Respond to inquiries from the SEC and other regulators.
• Mentor junior staff and lead team projects and problem solving.
