Job summary

Bronson Orthopedic Surgery Center in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (or First Assistant) for a full-time role in our ambulatory surgery center. • Must be CST certified and in good standing.
• Minimum one year scrub/assist orthopedic cases.
• Orthopedic experience required.
• CPR certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Possesses the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to provide safe care to the patient throughout their surgical experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge in planning, preparing and assembling sterile supplies & instruments for planned procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and handles sterile instruments and supplies; prevents contamination.
• Assists with room turnover and supports team to deliver quality patient care.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
