Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Surgical Technicians certified by the Association of Operating Room Technicians qualifies as Senior Surgical Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Direct, review, assign and coordinate work of Surgical Technicians.
• Coordinate equipment setup and ensure sterility and functionality for procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and scrubbing in as primary or secondary staff.
• Hand instruments to surgeon and assist during operation under supervision.
• Participate in patient safety and room turnover processes.
• Sterilize equipment and support maintenance of instruments.
• Assemble case carts and prepare supplies for procedures.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
• Supervise and provide guidance to other employees without disciplinary authority.
