Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Surgical Technician to support the surgical team before, during and after operations. You will organize instruments, ensure sterility, and set up equipment to aid the surgeon and nurses throughout procedures.

The role requires at least two years in an acute operating room, a High School diploma, and Basic Life Support. You will help train RNs, supervise colleagues, and uphold patient safety and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team before, during, and after procedures.
• Coordinate placement and configuration of equipment and supplies.
• Scrub and assist in procedures as directed by surgeon and staff.
• Assist with instrument counts and wound dressings per policy.
• Maintain room turnover and equipment cleaning between cases.
• Supervise and mentor other technicians as assigned.
