Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team under supervision. You will maintain and hand instruments, assist with setup, and ensure sterility and patient safety throughout each case.

Minimum two years acute OR experience, High School Diploma, and BLS are required; certification in Surgical Technology is preferred for senior roles. The position includes collaboration with RNs and other OR staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of current acute OR experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Surgical Technicians with AORTA/AST affiliation may qualify as Senior Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team before, during, and after surgery and maintain instruments.
• Coordinate equipment setup, sterility checks and room readiness.
• Assist with positioning patient and scrubbing procedures as required.
• Pass instruments, count supplies, and assist with dressings after surgery.
• Support patient safety initiatives and participate in room turnover.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and training as directed.
