Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, CA seeks an experienced Surgical Technician to assist the team before, during, and after surgery. You will maintain instruments, prepare equipment, and support the surgeon and circulating nurse throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
• Must be willing to participate in training of RNs and other disciplines.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, check, review, assign and train Surgical Technicians.
• Coordinate configuration of equipment and ensure sterility.
• Assist with patient positioning, scrubbing, and gowning.
• Hands instruments to surgeon and assist during procedures.
• Participate in patient safety goals and room turnover.
• Supervise other staff without hiring/firing authority.
