Qualifications

• Intermedate: High School Diploma or GED, Certification or satisfactory completion of an equivalent Surgical Technology training program, or a program pending immediate accreditation.
• Senior Level: High School Diploma or GED, Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Both: Commitment to a positive department culture; teamwork and ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during operative procedures by preparing sterile equipment.
• Pass instruments, sponges and sutures to the operating team.
• Assist with inventory and sterilization of instruments; prepare equipment for procedures.
• Transfer patients as needed and manage turnover of instruments to CSPD/Decontamination.
