Job summary

Advocate Health in Oshkosh is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and the operating room team. You will prepare materials, assist with procedures, and help ensure patient safety and efficiency throughout the surgical workflow.

Requirements include completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, at least 2 years of experience, and BLS certification within 6 months. On-call during weekdays, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• Proven ability to perform a broad range of surgical procedures and assist with complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe operating room and uphold aseptic standards.
• Set up OR for each case, move equipment, and operate room gear.
• Assist with complex surgical cases as a resource to the team.
• Notify staff of equipment and supply issues.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Maintain and check specialty carts and instruments for readiness.
• Participate in department or facility teams and training.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers, using proper technique.
