Job summary

Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to maintain a clean, safe operating room and prepare materials for procedures using aseptic techniques.

You will assist with a range of surgeries and provide support to the surgical team. You will be responsible for setting up the OR, handling equipment, transporting staff and supplies, and teaching Surgical Technologists I while participating in departmental committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• 2 years of experience in a Surgical Technologist role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe and efficient operating area using sterile techniques.
• Assists with a variety of procedures and supports complex cases as needed.
• Sets up OR, moves and operates equipment, and ensures equipment is returned post-procedure.
• Notifies staff of equipment and supply issues.
• Transports patients, equipment and supplies as required.
• Acts as a resource and may precept other staff.
• Performs patient positioning and lifting with proper technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient care and departmental policies.
