Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks Surgical Tech I/II to support Women’s Health and OB services. Responsibilities include sterile technique, preparing instruments, setting up cases, and assisting surgeons as needed.

The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS certification within 6 months, and the ability to handle a fast-paced OR environment. 30 hours weekly with shift variety.

Qualifications

• Aseptic surgical techniques in prep of materials and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of operating room equipment and workflows.
• Interpersonal skills and customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, efficient surgical area.
• Assist in gowning, gloving and draping; pass instruments.
• Ensure sterile field and environmental disinfection in OR.
• Transport patients and or equipment as needed.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate patient care knowledge.
