Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Senior Surgical Technician to support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. The role involves instrument handling, set up, patient positioning, and ensuring sterility and safety in the operating room.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of acute OR experience and BLS certification; a California environment allows for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams within our Labor Management Partnership.

Formación

• Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Basic Life Support

Responsabilidades

• Direct, review, assign, organize and report on the work of Surgical Technicians.
• Coordinate equipment setup, ensure sterility and readiness for cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, scrubbing and gowning.
• Hand instruments, assist surgeon and protect patient during operation.
• Counts of sponges, needles, and instruments per policy.
• Promote patient safety and quality care.
• Clean OR and turnover rooms.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Suggest equipment guidelines and purchases.
• Assemble case carts for procedures.
• Perform other related duties.
• Supervisory responsibilities: provide direction to others.
