Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Surgical Tech for a full‑time Day shift (0640‑1715), four 10‑hour shifts on weekdays with rotating weekends, holidays, and call.

You will scrub, prepare back table with sterile instruments, review lists, anticipate surgeon needs, and pass instruments intra‑operatively under RN supervision.

Required: accredited Surgical Technician training, National Certified Surgical Technologist, BLS, and 3 years OR experience.

Qualifications

• Accredited surgical technician training completed.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist credential obtained.
• BLS certification obtained at hire.
• 3 years experience as a Surgical Technician in OR required.

Responsibilities

• Review preference lists and select supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Perform surgical scrub and prepare back table with sterile instrumentation.
• Provide intra‑operative support by anticipating surgeon needs and passing instruments.
• Transport instruments and equipment to decontamination after cases.
