Job summary

Medford Surgery Center, LLC is seeking an organized Surgical Technologist to prepare the OR, set up instruments, and ensure sterile technique throughout procedures. You will anticipate surgeon needs, manage instrument counts, and maintain a safe patient environment during operations.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited surgical technology program, CST certification within 12 months, and experience scrubbing in diverse surgeries.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent.
• Certification (CST) required within 1 year of program completion.
• Mass experience prior to July 2013.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote a positive organizational culture.
• Engage in staff meetings and professional development.
• Manage case carts, instrument pans, and sterile supplies for timely procedure starts.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and request equipment accordingly.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are in safe working order.
• Maintain sterile field and proper handling of instruments and supplies.
• Prepare and handle specimens carefully with accurate labeling.
• Perform decontamination and sterilization methods for equipment.
• Assist with OR flow and equipment maintenance.
• Support teamwork and precept new caregivers.
