Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, a leader in Orthopaedics, seeks a Senior Navigation Systems Engineering Manager in a hybrid role based out of Raynham or Boston, MA. You will lead a multidisciplinary systems engineering team, ensure cohesive hardware-software-controls integration, and drive regulatory submissions throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in multidisciplinary systems engineering.
• 5+ years in surgical robotic systems or complex medical devices.
• 3+ years leading systems engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering and product lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, Polarion).
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary systems engineering team for architecture and requirements.
• Own end-to-end requirements lifecycle from clinical needs to verification.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, controls, mechanical, clinical, and V&V teams.
• Lead system architecture for navigation systems with hardware, software, and controls.
• Lead system-level risk management per ISO 14971 and regulatory needs.
• Drive design reviews, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment.
