Job summary

Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. seeks an experienced professional to perform technical engineering and construction analyses of large and complex surety bond disputes and claims.

You will lead teams of consultants and coordinate resolution activities across underwriting and claims, evaluating internal controls, job cost systems, and cost-to-complete schedules on engagements. The role requires BA/BS in engineering or related field with extensive surety claims or construction management

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related field with minimum 7 years of progressively more responsible surety claims or construction management experience.
• 3–5 years of construction management experience preferred and 5–7 years of proven surety claims management experience.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge claim files; ability to distill complex analyses into understandable prose or directives.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and construction analyses of large, complex performance, payment and non-contract surety bond disputes and claims.
• Prepare technical reports and evaluate loss exposures in major bond defaults.
• Supervise consultants and coordinate investigations, analyses and default reports; advise on remedies and loss reserves.
