Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist - Surety to lead in-house handling of performance and payment bonds. You will direct investigation, evaluation, and recovery efforts while coordinating with counsel, experts, and vendors to secure favorable resolutions.

The role requires 8+ years in surety with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, and a willingness to travel up to 25%. Location flexibility across multiple U.S. sites is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD a plus.
• 8+ years of experience handling surety matters.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and strategic in decision-making.
• Willingness to travel 25%.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Thorough investigation and assessment of claims against surety bonds for coverage, damages, and recoveries.
• Proactively manage claims with strategic vision for optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate outside counsel and vendors to obtain favorable results.
• Present high-exposure claims to Claims Leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal partners for client meetings, product development and audits.
