Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist - Surety to lead in-house handling of Performance and Payment Bonds. The role directs investigations, negotiates with counsel, and drives optimal claim outcomes across multiple states, with 25% travel.

You will analyze coverage, manage claim investigations, set reserves, and coordinate with vendors and internal partners to support product improvements and audits. A BA/BS plus 8+ years in surety is required; JD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in handling surety matters.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of in-house file handling of Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds.
• Direct the adjusting and litigation process, coordinate with counsel and vendors.
• Analyze coverage, manage investigations, set reserves, and pursue recoveries.
