Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist - Surety to oversee in-house handling of Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds. You will direct adjusting, coordinate with counsel and vendors, analyze coverage, and drive recoveries with timely, accurate communications.

The role requires an 8+ year track record in surety, strong negotiation skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%. Located in Philadelphia area or other listed cities; base salary reflects market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD a plus.
• 8+ years experience handling surety matters.
• Strong analytical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Direct all aspects of in-house file handling of Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds.
• Direct the adjusting and litigation process and coordinate with counsel, experts and vendors.
• Analyze coverage, manage investigation, and evaluate the overall claim.
• Maintain timely communication with internal and external stakeholders and pursue recoveries.
• Set reserves with a strategic view on exposure throughout the claim life cycle.
• Coordinate outside counsel and vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Present high-exposure claims to Claims Leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners for audits and product development.
• Identify and implement ways to improve claim efficiencies and outcomes.
