Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Senior Supply Planner to own the Master Production Schedule for an assigned propulsion segment and to lead the integration of demand forecasting into supply and production plans. You will release Manufacturing Orders, run MRP, and collaborate with Materials Control to ensure schedule integrity.

You will mentor junior planners, work within an established SIOP cadence, and continuously improve planning parameters to reduce inventory risk while protecting delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, master scheduling, or closely related demand planning roles.
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Katana, Sage) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical and data-driven planning capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own adherence to and execution of the Master Production Schedule for an assigned segment.
• Release, sequence, and maintain Manufacturing Orders in the ERP against program need dates and capacity.
• Run MRP and manage reschedule, cancel, and expedite messages to prevent shortages.
• Maintain and improve planning parameters (lead times, order policies, lot sizing, safety stock).
• Develop replenishment and safety stock strategies for inventory locations.
• Drive resolution of supply shortages through root-cause analysis with Materials Control, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
• Balance load against constrained resources and elevate constraints into the SIOP cycle with recovery options.
• Participate in the SIOP process with end-to-end visibility of inventory and capacity.
• Mentor junior planners and coordinate planning activities as needed.
