Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Planning in Michigan to lead weekly cycles for OEM finished goods and production planning. You will optimize inventory, drive digital planning using analytics and AI, and partner across functions to deliver aligned, profitable supply plans.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional leadership, data‑driven decisions, and continuous improvement in a fast‑moving consumer products environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics or a related field.
7+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, materials planning, S&OP, logistics planning, or supply chain operations.
Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, durable goods, appliance, industrial, automotive, or similar complex product environments.
Strong cross‑functional communication skills with influence across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

Lead weekly supply planning cycles for OEM finished goods and manufacturing production planning, validating plans against demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and inbound signals.
Serve as a supply planning SME, using data-driven analysis to validate plans, identify exceptions, and drive timely decisions.
Lead inventory optimization by setting safety stock, lead times, MIN/MAX targets, planning methods, and SKU-level inventory strategies to balance service, cost, and cash flow.
Build and manage monthly supply plans and annual business plans aligned with demand, supply capability, inventory targets, and growth objectives.
Lead shortage, excess inventory, and inbound risk management with root-cause analysis and recovery plans.
Plan phase‑in/phase‑out with cross‑functional partners for launches and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, Demand Planning, Sales, and regional teams to resolve constraints.
Track inbound risks (international shipments, container delays, supplier changes) and translate into mitigation actions.
Publish dashboards, reports, and KPIs for leadership visibility on supply health and actions.
Use analytics, automation and AI tools to simplify planning processes and improve decision quality.
Coach planners/analysts to raise capability in planning, analytics, and digital tools.
Foster a Continuous Improvement culture.
