Job summary

Penske Logistics in Reading, PA is seeking a Supply Chain Manager 2 to provide tactical direction, oversee day-to-day account activities, and ensure customer requirements are met. You will monitor carrier performance and resolve issues quickly to protect service levels and costs.

The role leads both salaried and hourly staff, designs improvement plans, reviews metrics with the customer, and coordinates scope development with client teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 3 years of multi-channel supply chain experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory or equivalent experience.
• Root cause analysis experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical direction and leadership to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor carrier performance to optimize value delivered to the customer.
• Resolve operations issues to eliminate production loss or transportation service failures.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentoring for team of salaried and hourly employees.
• Develop project plans with timelines, milestones, goals and ownership.
• Review operating metrics and report progress to customer and Penske.
• Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
