Penske Logistics is seeking a Senior Operations Manager in New York to lead staff, align with customer goals, and drive operational excellence. You will work closely with the customer’s logistics manager, manage financials, and ensure safe, compliant operations across fleets and warehouses.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in logistics, and a track record of delivering cost savings and service improvements.

Competenze

• 5+ years related logistics and supply chain experience.
• At least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; degree may be required for advancement.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background/drug screening.

Mansioni

• Provide tactical direction and leadership to staff to meet customer requirements and Penske goals.
• Interact daily with the customer to identify needs and improvements in routing, carrier selection, backhauls, loading, inventory and warehouse ops.
• Develop and execute annual financial and operating plan; manage P&L; ensure timely payroll and payroll accuracy; ensure valid intercompany charges.
• Monitor safety; identify unsafe conditions; ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Track value delivered to customers and identify profitable opportunities; monitor metrics to maximize efficiency and savings.
• Monitor fleet/equipment utilization and fuel efficiency; build relationships with district and vendors.
