Job summary

Persona AI is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management to design, build, and scale the end-to-end supply chain from the ground up at a Houston-based robotics startup. You will shape infrastructure, processes, and metrics to enable rapid manufacturing and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience buying mechanical, electrical, cables, circuit boards, and related components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes in electronics/robotics/precision manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
• Experience implementing MSAs, SLAs, and NDAs.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and procurement platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities in cost analysis, data interpretation, and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills with multi-order management.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and inventory tracking.
• Experience supporting NPI sourcing in low-volume, high-mix environments.
• Experience collaborating with engineering on DFM during early sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Design the supply chain organization from scratch, including sourcing, procurement, planning, and logistics.
• Develop strategy for supplier footprint, logistics, and warehousing for scalable delivery.
• Establish supplier qualification processes and metrics.
• Lead supplier validation as volume scales.
• Develop vendor partnerships and scorecards; manage RFx processes.
• Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Execute multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with growth.
• Lead make-vs-buy decisions and risk management.
• Implement an SOP process.
• Define warehousing strategy, including WMS selection and ownership.
• Set up KPIs and data collection for performance.
• Drive ISO/other compliance based on customer base and locations.
• Place and track purchase orders for materials and components.
• Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to optimize costs.
