Senior Supply Chain Equipment Specialist - Civil


SUMMARY


Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Solutions organization. This position plays an integral role in managing a wide range of processes on behalf of the Project teams, Equipment Facility Teams, Buyers, and ESM HQ Leadership (Equipment Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing).

The responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing and improving processes related to receiving and processing equipment facility orders and returns from the field.
  2. Sourcing equipment internally and through third-party rental and service suppliers.
  3. Generating purchase orders for equipment purchases and rentals.
  4. Reconciling and processing billing of contracts, invoices, and work orders daily.
  5. Supporting electronic Inventory Management and physical Inventory Management on project sites or within equipment facilities.
  6. Updating Task Codes and Off-Rent dates based on input from project teams (customers).
  7. Providing inventory management reports, including scheduled and on-demand reports, with review and quality control.
  8. Reconciling fleet invoicing with Accounting, fleet vendors, and project teams.
  9. Providing equipment solutions and issue resolution, including recommendations for type and maintenance.
  10. Facilitating the ordering of vehicles for team members and projects.
  11. Handling Department of Transportation (DOT) registration and responding to inquiries.
  12. Participating in equipment facility safety programs, including environmental surveys and adherence to Mortenson's Zero Injury policy.
  13. Scheduling equipment deliveries and logistics planning.
  14. Conducting onsite equipment reviews with project teams.
  15. Leading 5S initiatives.
  16. Drafting vendor lease agreements and contracts.
  17. Providing work direction to Associate and Specialist team members.
  18. Planning and facilitating Equipment Solutions Specialist/Coordinator calls.
  19. Building effective relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Knowledge of basic service and maintenance requirements of heavy equipment.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  3. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
  6. Ability to multitask and organize effectively.
  7. Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback.
  8. Bachelor's Degree or minimum four years of relevant experience.
  9. Experience with billing software is preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $79,600 - $119,400, with higher ranges for specific locations (Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%; Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%; Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
