Job summary

Kiewit Lead Supply Chain Specialist – Power & Industrial is based in Lenexa, KS and drives procurement strategy across multiple projects. You will negotiate prime contracts, support legal review, and interface with project managers, attorneys, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes training, template development, risk evaluation, and vendor relationship management, with periodic travel to support diverse projects in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination.
• 5+ years of transactional/commercial management experience preferred.
• 8+ years of negotiation experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in risk evaluation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support identification of contract flow-down clauses and review templates.
• Review project contract templates for adherence to requirements.
• Develop company-wide procurement templates.
• Provide training on negotiation, contracts, and terms and conditions.
• Negotiate high-risk contracts and support project teams and legal review.
• Liaise between procurement, project attorneys, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Manage vendor relationships and template negotiations.
• Participate in staff meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Interface with business, legal, risk, tax, and internal procurement teams.
