Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry-Level procurement professional to support the Supply Network. This role involves negotiating, renegotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives while ensuring materials meet drawings and specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• 0-3 years’ experience in engineering/construction related role preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel).
• General knowledge of database utilization.
• SAP Experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing preferred.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives. District Overview

Kiewit Supply Network group specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation; industrial; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building; and mining. Location

This position will be based in one of our area offices or at one of our project sites across the U.S. Possible initial assignment locations include Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Westlake, TX; Woodcliff Lake, NJ; Peachtree, GA; Aiken, SC; Oak Ridge, TN or Federal Way, WA. Candidates must be open to relocating as needed.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives
• Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings
• Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services

Qualifications

• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management or related degree preferred
• 0-3 years’ experience in an engineering and/or construction related role preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
• General knowledge of database utilization
• SAP Experience a plus
• Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing preferred

Base Compensation: $66,560 - $79,040
