GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality for assigned suppliers, including implementation of quality plans for structural casting vendors. You will lead audits, supplier qualification, and scorecard-driven improvements to achieve best-in-class first time yield and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in Quality Systems/Engineering or Supply Chain manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to influence

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings is preferred.
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility.
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure.
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
