Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality for structural casting vendors. You will lead supplier qualifications, audits, and corrective actions while partnering with design and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability and yield.

You will influence senior leadership with risk assessments and roadmaps. The role requires 5+ years in Quality/ supplier quality, strong leadership, and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industry standards.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to improve first time yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability to improve producibility.
• Identify gaps in quality system and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction.
• Present product/ program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Be a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Use data analysis to support recommendations.
