Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, implementing quality plans for structural casting suppliers and leading supplier qualifications. You will own supplier results, audits, scorecards and improvement plans, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to enhance producibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Experience in supplier quality management, audits, scorecards and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits and performance monitoring.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to improve first pass yield and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic cost-reduction initiatives.
• Present product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize data analysis to support recommendations.
