Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, including qualification through auditing, scorecards and improvement programs. The role requires deep knowledge of quality management and the ability to influence across design, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in Quality Systems or Supplier Quality, with experience in high-stakes aerospace environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industry standards.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to improve first pass yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability and producibility.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction.
• Present product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Mentor colleagues with less experience and use data analysis to support recommendations.
