Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in the United States to drive supplier quality across structural casting suppliers, implement quality plans, and lead qualification and audit programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management.
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings.
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to drive better first time yield, improving delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability to improve producibility.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction.
• Present product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize data analysis to support recommendations.
