Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, including implementation of quality plans for structural casting suppliers. You will qualify suppliers, own results, conduct audits, ensure compliance, and lead improvement plans.

Expertise in quality management and market differentiation will be essential. You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on manufacturability, lead supplier audits, and drive cost-reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
