Job summary

GE Aerospace in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for structural casting suppliers, implement quality plans, qualify suppliers, and lead audits and improvement plans. You will own supplier results, drive improvements via scorecards, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on manufacturability, manage supplier qualifications, and present strategies to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management.
• Experience with audits, scorecards, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to improve first time yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on DFx/DFM.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives for cost reduction.
• Present product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues and analyze data to support recommendations.
