Job summary

GE Aerospace in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality across assigned suppliers, implement supplier qualification processes for structural casting suppliers, and own supplier audits and scorecards to ensure compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in quality systems or supplier quality, with experience in airfoils or structural castings preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management.
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings.
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to improve first time yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability.
• Identify gaps in quality system and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic cost-reduction initiatives.
• Present product strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Mentor colleagues with less experience.
• Use data analysis to support recommendations.
