Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality for assigned suppliers, including structural casting suppliers, audits, and improvement plans. The role focuses on supplier qualification, scorecards, and driving cost reduction through data-driven decision making.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on manufacturability, manage root cause analyses, and mentor colleagues while supporting quality system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
