Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation for structural casting suppliers. You will select suppliers, own results, drive improvements with scorecards, audits, and corrective actions while ensuring compliance and leading improvement plans.

You should have deep knowledge of quality management practices and understand competitive market differentiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility.
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure.
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
