GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives for assigned suppliers, with emphasis on structural casting suppliers. You will own supplier qualification, audits, scorecards and corrective actions to ensure compliance and excellence.

Qualified candidates have at least 5 years in Quality Systems or supplier quality, a Bachelor’s degree, and proven leadership in supplier management.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.
• Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management.
• Sub-commodity leadership experience.
• Experience in airfoils or structural castings.
• Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Established project management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility.
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure.
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
