Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality with assigned suppliers, implement quality plans for structural casting suppliers, and own supplier results. You will lead audits, scorecards, and improvement plans, collaborating with design and manufacturing to enhance producibility.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in Quality/ Supplier Quality, with expertise in supplier management and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers
• Identify process improvements to improve first time yield and delivery
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability to improve producibility
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure
• Balance tactical execution with strategic cost-reduction initiatives
• Present product/ program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Utilize data analysis to support recommendations
