Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality for assigned suppliers, including supplier qualification, audits, and scorecards. You will drive root cause analysis, implement improvements, and collaborate with design/manufacturing on producibility in a remote-capable role.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in quality or supplier quality, with strong leadership and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers.
• Identify process improvements to drive better first time yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability to improve producibility.
• Identify gaps in quality systems and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction projects.
• Present product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Utilize data analysis to support recommendations.
