Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality operations and drive measurable improvements across the supply chain.

You will own corrective actions (8D), PPAP approvals, and containment plans, while coordinating RMA processes and monitoring quarantined material to prevent delays. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in supplier quality are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in supplier quality or quality function.
• Manufacturing process knowledge for mechanical components.
• Good knowledge of 8D, PPAP, QMS, Auditing.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, pivot tables).
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Able to work in a matrix organization.
• Eager to learn, adaptable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Own corrective action processes with suppliers, including 8D follow-up and root cause validation.
• Ensure containment, correction and mitigation plans with timelines and accountability.
• Coordinate RMA processes and supplier returns to avoid aging inventory and delays.
• Monitor supplier quarantined material and quick disposition.
• Perform PPAP approvals, including doc review and dimensional validations.
• Track supplier quality issues and drive closure with urgency.
• Maintain strong relationships with plant teams for fast decision-making.
• Continuously assess supplier performance and drive material-quality improvements.
