Job summary

Magna Powertrain seeks a Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE) to standardize launch processes, audit suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across NA Driveline programs.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 3–10 years in supplier quality, with knowledge of AIAG tools and manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and lifecycle quality management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3–10 years in Supplier Quality Development.
• 6–10 years in Aluminum Castings, Iron Castings, Forgings, Electronics, Stampings, Powder Metal, Fasteners, or Injection Molding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Support new program launches and supplier localization.
• Ensure on-time delivery and first-time quality targets.
• Oversee 5S, VSM, and maintenance practices at supplier sites.
• Work with QA tools like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
