Job summary

Slate is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Accessories – Slate Maker, to drive supplier quality across the accessories portfolio. You will own APQP processes, drive PPAP submissions and approvals, and align supplier readiness with program milestones to deliver conforming parts and a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent
5+ years of supplier quality experience in vehicle or product launches
Experience with accessories, aftermarket or low-volume components a plus
Includes APQP management and PPAP authority
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

Manage the full APQP process for assigned accessories suppliers
Drive PPAP submissions and approvals
Monitor supplier readiness against program milestones
Lead containment and corrective action for quality issues
Coordinate incoming inspection requirements and tooling/capacity confirmations
Conduct supplier audits (VDA 6.3 or equivalent)
Collaborate cross-functionally with Accessories Product, Engineering, Manufacturing and Program Management
