Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking an energetic Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Launch, to join our growing team in the USA. You will support all aspects of supplier quality, sourcing, and program milestones, working with internal and external customers to meet expectations.

You will administer the APQP process, hold suppliers to our Quality Requirements Manual, develop KPI/scorecards, and drive improvements. The role requires 5+ years in supplier quality, audits, and lean problem-solving, with strong

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent or relevant working level experience.
• 5+ years in Supplier Quality including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem-solving principles and leading a team by example.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with varied components (Stampings, extrusions, seats, plastics, seals, lighting, etc.).
• Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
• Strong working knowledge of value driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.
• Work directly with engineering and manufacturing regarding technical GD&T, and drawing standards training and review.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the APQP process and hold suppliers accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual.
• Develop and implement supplier KPI/scorecard and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Evaluate suppliers for production awards and manage all aspects of supplier quality performance.
• Foster strong supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support company objectives.
