Job summary

Slate seeks a senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Accessories – Slate Maker, to drive supplier quality for our accessories portfolio in Troy, MI. You will own APQP processes, lead PPAP activities, and ensure supplier readiness to hit program milestones while delivering high-quality, personalized components.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supplier quality roles within automotive or product launches, with GD&T expertise, PPAP authority, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience in vehicle or product launches.
• Experience with accessories, aftermarket, or low-volume components is a plus.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and engineering drawings; experience with dimensional reporting and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full APQP process across an assigned accessories supplier portfolio.
• Drive PPAP submissions and approvals.
• Monitor supplier readiness against program milestones.
• Lead containment and corrective action for quality issues.
• Coordinate incoming inspection requirements and supplier audits.
