AGSE Group in California is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to provide technical leadership in supplier quality for a high-mix aerospace environment. You will evaluate supplier capability, drive corrective actions, manage audits, and guide cross-functional teams to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires mentoring staff, leading RCCA activities, and ensuring NADCAP and AS9100 readiness while collaborating with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years in Quality Engineering, preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense.
• Minimum 7 years in a Supplier Quality Engineering role.
• Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing environment that specializes in complex machined components, 3D CAD modeling, and structural welding.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
• Proficient in FAIRs (AS9102), PPAP, APQP, and SPC.
• Proficient with GD&T fundamentals and application, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Working knowledge of inspection tools and technologies (CMMs, PCMMs, Romer/Faro Arms).
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites, up to 40%.
• Familiarity with NADCAP and special process audits.
• Preferred: CQE, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide guidance to entry-level and mid-level Quality Engineers, participating in training, development, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain/Buyers on supplier selection, qualification, and development.
• Ensure technical and quality requirements are effectively communicated to suppliers via PO flowdown, procurement codes, and ERP information.
• Build strong supplier relationships to align on expectations, standards, and improvement goals.
• Manage onboarding and surveillance audits, both on-site and remote, to ensure ISO 9001 and AGSE requirements.
• Manage source inspections, both on-site and remote, to ensure product conformance to AGSE flowdown requirements.
• Monitor and report supplier performance using scorecards and KPIs.
• Manage NCMRs, deviation requests, and concession approvals.
• Lead RCCA activities for supplier issues using 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa.
• Oversee FAIs per AS9102 or AGSE requirements.
• Assess and validate special processes for NADCAP/AWS certifications.
• Provide quality guidance to suppliers, including reviews of PPAPs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Support NPD/NPI to ensure supplier readiness from prototype through production.
• Participate in internal and external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory).
• Promote continuous improvement and lean practices within AGSE and supplier base.
• Champion supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in strategic supply chain initiatives as SME for supplier quality.
