Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead Global Supply Manager to drive strategic sourcing and lifecycle management for vehicle programs. You will own complex supplier relationships and negotiate terms to meet aggressive cost targets, while coordinating with cross-functional teams in a high-stakes environment.

Based onsite in Irvine, CA, you will guide risk mitigation, manage large-scale projects, and contribute to Rivian’s next-gen platforms with a focus on cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• End-to-end procurement lifecycles and proven ability to drive commodity strategies for next-gen platforms.
• Expert user of SAP and analytical tools; identify should-cost opportunities prior to engaging cost estimation groups.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate productive conversations and gain buy-in with a clear vision.
• Proven ability to resolve complex problems involving multiple variables and stakeholders; implement risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: lead several large projects with medium-high vehicle spend and drive competitive bids.
• Systems & Process: act as expert user of procurement systems and onboard/train new team members.
• Technical Understanding: apply battery commodity experience to drive strategy and identify risks.
• Negotiations: negotiate terms with minimal legal involvement and use non-monetary tradeoffs.
• Supplier Management: maintain relationships with suppliers' senior management and manage sub-suppliers.
• Stakeholder Management: communicate risk and enable timely decisions with internal and external partners.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation: lead large projects with autonomy and mapping of risk.
